Partnership Enables Joint Customers to Collect All Event Data Produced by RSA SecurID Two-Factor Authentication Technology to Meet Critical Security and Compliance Objectives, Including Privileged User Monitoring
WESTWOOD, Mass [Network Intelligence, a privately-held leader in transforming enterprise-wide data into compliance and security information, joined RSA, The Security Division of EMC, after its acquisition by EMC in September 2006.]
Network Intelligence™ Corp., the market-proven leader in transforming enterprise-wide data into automated compliance and security information, today announced that its enVision product suite has been certified by the RSA Secured® Partner Program as interoperable with RSA SecurID® two-factor authentication technology. Network Intelligence collects all the event data produced by users as they attempt to gain access to corporate networks using RSA SecurID authenticators. Collecting and analyzing this event information is a critical element to establishing a complete compliance and security strategy
“As corporate networks continue to grow in size and complexity, it becomes increasingly important for organizations to collect and analyze all the raw event data being produced by their network devices,” said Upesh Patel, vice president of product marketing, Network Intelligence. “But to be truly effective, a complete security and compliance solution must also monitor privileged users’ attempts—both successful and unsuccessful—to access the network resources. Privileged user monitoring has become vital to both security and compliance efforts, and the RSA Secured certification of enVision by RSA Security will enable our joint customers to manage their identity management systems to meet these demands.”
Network Intelligence’s enVision is the only solution on the market that is capable of collecting, analyzing, reporting on and storing all of a company’s network event data in real time. The Company’s LogSmart® Internet Protocol Database (IPDB) efficiently collects and protects all event data from any IP device without filtering or agents. By capturing all the data, customers have the ability to track, detect and mitigate known and unknown vulnerabilities from their enterprise networks. Providing auditors with this level of protection and insight into the network enables businesses to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI, HIPAA, GLBA and all other industry and federal regulations.
The RSA SecurID system is the world’s most widely used two-factor user authentication solution. It is as easy to use as entering a password, but significantly more secure. Used in conjunction with RSA Authentication Manager software, an RSA SecurID authenticator functions like an ATM card for a company network, requiring users to identify themselves with two unique factors—something they know (such as a password or PIN) and something they have (such as an RSA SecurID key fob token)—before they are granted access to secure business information.
“RSA Security is committed to partnering with other industry-leading companies to cost effectively meet the demands of joint customers,” said Stuart Cohen, director of partner development at RSA Security. “Network Intelligence has demonstrated leadership in the security management space, and we welcome the company into our RSA Secured Partner Program. Integrating our RSA SecurID technology with Network Intelligence’s enVision will equip joint customers with a strong security and compliance solution.”
