BEDFORD, Mass. RSA Security Inc. (NASDAQ: RSAS), the most trusted name in e-security®, today announced the appointment of Joseph Uniejewski to the position of senior vice president of corporate development and Chief Technology Officer. Uniejewski will be responsible for managing strategy, key business relationships and technology direction.

Uniejewski has more than 20 years of experience in the high technology industry with leadership roles in both Engineering and Marketing. Uniejewski previously served as senior vice president of the Web Access Management division. In this role, Uniejewski helped transform RSA ClearTrust software into one of the leading identity management solutions. Uniejewski joined RSA Security in 1998, initially serving as vice president of product marketing. In October 1999 he was named senior vice president of engineering and in 2001 his responsibilities expanded to include technical services. In this role he was responsible for worldwide research, product development and program management. During his career, he has held senior engineering and marketing positions at companies such as Gradient Technologies, Cisco Systems, Data General Corporation, Hewlett-Packard and Apollo Computer.
With this announcement, RSA Security’s authentication and access management divisions will come under the leadership of Bill McQuaide, senior vice president, who previously headed the authentication division. The Company believes that assembling the product divisions under common leadership will allow for RSA Security to deliver feature-rich products more quickly, building upon its identity and access management strategy and Nexus architecture.
