RSA® LABS and Standards

RSA, as a division of Dell Technologies, is an active participant in a number of standards organizations and industry consortia. Here is a sample list of these activities:

  • EdgeX Foundry EdgeX Foundry is a vendor-neutral, open-source project building a common open framework for IoT edge computing. Dell Technologies seeded this project with FUSE source code base under Apache 2.0. RSA is a member of the EdgeX Security Working Group.
  • FIDO Alliance The FIDO Alliance develops specifications and certifies interoperable products for stronger, simpler online authentication. RSA is a member of the FIDO Alliance board of directors.
  • Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) The IIC sets the architectural framework and direction for the industrial internet using open standards. Dell Technologies is a member of the IIC Steering Committee. RSA is an active member of the IIC Security Working Group.

  • EMVCo EMVCo exists to facilitate worldwide interoperability and acceptance of secure payment transactions. RSA is a Technichal Associate and sits on the board of directors for the development of EMV® Three-Domain Secure (3DS) messaging protocol to enable consumers to authenticate themselves with their card issuer when making card-not-present (CNP) e-commerce purchases.
  • FS ISAC The Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS ISAC) is the global financial industry's go-to resource for cyber- and physical threat intelligence analysis and sharing. RSA is an affiliate member and serves on the board of advisors.
