RSA Speakers & Sessions
RSA experts will address some of the hottest topics in cybersecurity. Don't miss these must-attend sessions.
Cybersecurity has entered a new phase—the age of chaos—where small intrusions can have unimaginable secondary and tertiary consequences on our global institutions. This age of chaos is prompting the industry to shift its approach: Instead of addressing cybersecurity as a technology issue, we are beginning to treat it as a business problem. Organizations must now look at how their strategy changes when the objective is to plan for chaos instead of wait for its arrival. A full conference pass or a discover pass is required to attend this keynote.
Presenter:Dr. Zulfikar Ramzan, Chief Technology Officer, RSA
Tuesday, February 14, 8:10 – 8:35 AM | Moscone West, Level 3
Cybersecurity threats have fundamentally changed. As a result, leading organizations are no longer responding to isolated incidents but instead are learning to create order out of chaos. FedEx’s cyber team actively plans for chaos. Learn the strategies they’re using to tame business risks. This session is open to all attendees.
- David Walter, Vice President, RSA Archer, RSA
- Chris Patteson, IT Director, FedEx
Tuesday, February 14, 2:30 – 3:15 PM | Moscone North, Room 130
Machine learning and artificial intelligence hold great promise for automating routine cybersecurity processes and tasks and for accelerating threat detection. But these technologies are not the panacea they are often made out to be. This session will demonstrate what machine learning and AI can and can’t do in a cybersecurity program using real world examples. A full conference pass is required to attend this session.
Dr. Zulfikar Ramzan, Chief Technology Officer, RSA
Wednesday, February 15, 9:15 – 10:00 AM | Marriott Marquis, Room: Yerba Buena 8
The Internet of Things (IoT) has shown tremendous potential to transform how businesses operate across industries, but the security of this technology has repeatedly been called into question. Indeed, most organizations with IoT implementations need to do a much better job of securing them. Those that do will derive greater value from these investments while mitigating significant risks. Learn what it takes to secure the IoT. A full conference pass is required to attend this session.
- Mohamed Sohail, Data Protection and Availability Expert and IoT Researcher, Dell EMC
- Dr. Said Tabet, Senior Consultant, Technologist, CTO Standards, Dell EMC
Thursday, February 16, 8:00 – 8:45 AM | Moscone West 2002
Over the past year, incident response teams and security researchers around the world have witnessed a rise in the use of legitimate tools and common scripts in malware and APT attacks. During this session, the presenters will discuss their research, which focused on automating the analysis of PowerShell and Macro/VBA/VBS attacks by building a heuristic-based compiler engine that determines whether or not a script is malicious. A full conference pass is required to attend this session.
- Uri Fleyder-Kotler, Advanced Threats Research Lab Manager, RSA
- Rotem Salinas, Senior Security Researcher, RSA
Thursday, February 16, 2:45 – 3:30 PM | Moscone South 306
