Mr. Brainard studied computer science at M.I.T. from 1976 through 1980. As a founding member of Security Dynamics (now RSA Security), he was the principal designer of the SecurID card and other SDI products. He joined RSA Laboratories Bedford office in September 1996. Mr. Brainard is a member of the IEEE, ACM, and the International Association for Cryptologic Research. His research interests include cryptographic protocols, security architecture, and public-key infrastructure.
