RSA Security and Speedera Networks Join Forces to Provide Secure Online Transactions for e-Businesses
Speedera Selects RSA BSAFE® SSL-C To Help Enable Secure Web-Based Transactions for E-Businesses, Financial Organizations and Online Retailers

BEDFORD, MA.— Reaffirming its leadership in securing Web transactions, RSA Security Inc. (NASDAQ: RSAS) announced today that Speedera Networks, a single-source provider of global load balancing, Web content delivery and streaming media services for the Internet, has incorporated RSA BSAFE® SSL-C into its Speedera SSL service. This new service, part of Speedera's Universal Delivery Network (UDN) family of services, is designed to support accelerated Web-based transactions for e-businesses, financial organizations and online retailers. By adopting RSA BSAFE SSL-C software as its security foundation, Speedera is able to provide its secure Web services to a range of customers, including eFinance, IndiaPlaza and Totally Trivia, among others.

"The Speedera SSL service is all about security and performance," said Gordon Smith, vice president of marketing at Speedera. "The RSA BSAFE SSL-C product is not only an industry-leading API, it is very easy to use, which enabled us to focus on our customers' needs more effectively. As a result, we now offer our customers a global service providing everything they require to conduct fast, secure e-business transactions."

"By boosting the performance of encrypted traffic, Speedera is able to help its customers minimize the overhead involved with directly establishing an SSL connection," said Scott Schnell, senior vice president of marketing and corporate development at RSA Security. "As a result, enterprises can cut costs, all the while maintaining a high level of security with RSA Security's BSAFE® SSL-C software."

The RSA BSAFE line of security software is embedded in today's most successful Internet applications, including Web browsers, wireless devices, commerce servers, e-mail systems and virtual private network products. Built to provide implementations of standards such as SSL, SMIME, WTLS, IPSec and PKCS, RSA BSAFE products can save developers time and risk in their development schedules.
