Appliance Based Solution Network Intelligence Listed In Leader Quadrant

WESTWOOD, Mass— [Network Intelligence, a privately-held leader in transforming enterprise-wide data into compliance and security information, joined RSA, The Security Division of EMC, after its acquisition by EMC in September 2006.]

Network Intelligence™ Corp., the leader in appliance-based security event management (SEM), today announced that analyst group Gartner, Inc., has listed Network Intelligence in the Leaders Quadrant in its Magic Quadrant “IT Security Management” published March 26, 2004.

Gartner research reports are designed to help customers evaluate complex vendor offerings and solutions. The IT Security Management Magic Quadrant profiled vendors that filter, aggregate and correlate security data from multiple sources for real-time monitoring and historical analysis. Leaders are vendors that are performing well, driving the market in terms of technical innovation, and are actively adding high-profile and rapidly-growing customer bases to sustain leadership position.

The report notes that the market has had a gradual convergence on a common set of functional capabilities, but vendors need to differentiate themselves by providing less expensive offerings that are easier to deploy. In its “Bottom Line” section of the report Gartner also recommends “When evaluating IT security management solutions, consider event management and data analysis requirements for the enterprise’s perimeter, servers and applications. Appliances can reduce deployment costs. Solutions with compressed information stores support data retention for regulatory compliance. Products from broad-scope vendors provide integration with management infrastructure, while leading point solution vendors offer the most-complete IT security management functionalities.”

Network Intelligence has developed a full series of appliances designed for successful implementation in SMB markets, enterprise markets and MSSP markets – the Network Intelligence Engine EX series, HA series and LS series.
