Network Intelligence Integrates Network Behavior Analysis Solutions to Enable Broad Internal Threat Detection
Partnerships with Arbor Networks, Lancope and Mazu Networks Gives Customers Complete Network and Application Visibility Across the Enterprise

WESTWOOD, Mass— [Network Intelligence, a privately-held leader in transforming enterprise-wide data into compliance and security information, joined RSA, The Security Division of EMC, after its acquisition by EMC in September 2006.]

Network Intelligence, the market-proven leader in transforming enterprise-wide data into automated compliance and security information, today announced partnerships with Arbor Networks®, Lancope and Mazu Networks, the three leading providers of Network Behavior Analysis (NBA) systems. The new alliances enable Network Intelligence to continue delivering on its promise to provide customers with All the Data™ and the tools they need to analyze and act upon that data.

In research on visibility into security and operations events, Gartner research vice president Paul Proctor reports, "SIEM and NBA have overlapping value propositions, but both are necessary for comprehensive detection."

The new product integrations will enable Network Intelligence enVision™ customers to see attacks and other anomalies occurring at the network infrastructure level, and give administrators a clear picture and complete record of exactly what data is passing through their routers and switches at any given moment. That level of intelligence is vital as enterprises continue to deal with complex internal and external threats that are moving away from the endpoints and toward the core of the network.

The partnerships will also allow enVision customers to access a unique set of alerts from Arbor Peakflow X, Lancope StealthWatch and Mazu Profiler™, which then will be integrated into enVision's enterprise management console. The ability to incorporate the alerts from the NBA solutions, which are based on network flow data, gives Network Intelligence customers total visibility into their networks and the knowledge that internal security threats are managed alongside other events happening across the network.

"As enterprise networks continue to grow in both size and complexity, it is more crucial than ever for security managers to have access to all the data they need to make decisions about potentially malicious activity," said Jim Melvin, executive vice president of marketing and business development at Network Intelligence. "The integration of enVision with the three leading Network Behavior Analysis systems gives our customers access to vital data on their networks, through event logs as well as network flow data."

enVision, Network Intelligence's flagship product, is a scalable, flexible SIEM solution for managing data created by network devices and applications and improving compliance, security and business operations. Built upon the company's LogSmart Internet Protocol Database (IPDB), enVision enables customers to collect, store and manage all the data on their networks.
