(NASDAQ: RSAS) today announced a standards-based security solution for digital rights management (DRM) that delivers equal benefit to consumers, content owners, service providers and device manufacturers. With this new solution offering, RSA Security provides the security infrastructure needed to create a trusted network of devices with proven identity and access management, provisioning, strong authentication, certificate management and embedded security software. As part of the new solution, RSA Security is also announcing RSA BSAFE® Mobile Rights Management software which is designed to provide the components needed for 1) device manufacturers to create trusted devices that manage and enforce digital rights for content loaded onto those devices, and for 2) service providers and content management infrastructure vendors to secure content and protect it with appropriate rights before it is delivered to consumers. The new software also is designed to integrate with certificate management software (like RSA® Validation Manager) and identity and access management software (like RSA ClearTrust® web access management) to implement and manage the trust model needed to ensure content remains in the hands of the right consumers with the proper digital rights.
