(Nasdaq: RSAS) today announced it intends to join the Liberty Alliance Project (www.projectliberty.org) as a charter member, and plans to work with industry leaders to create an open, federated solution for online identity. Other charter members of the Liberty Alliance project include: Bank of America, Bell Canada Enterprises, Cingular Wireless, Dun and Bradstreet, GM, Intuit, NTT DoCoMo, Sabre, Sun Microsystems, Travelocity and VeriSign. As a leading vendor of e-security solutions, RSA Security will provide the Liberty Alliance with expertise in the critical areas of user authentication and identity management, access rights management, data privacy and transaction integrity.
