OTP (One-Time Password)
A one-time password can only be used once. There are a great many varieties of one-time password systems including time-synchronous, event-synchronous and challenge-response technologies, along with multiple underlying cryptographic algorithms. RSA SecurID® authentication is an example of a one-time password system.
In early 2005, RSA Security announced a series of open specifications for integrating one-time passwords with enterprise and consumer technology solutions.
